Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about MoneyLoop, from reading texts to deleting your account.

How does MoneyLoop read my bank texts?

On Android the app reads bank and wallet texts once you grant the permission; on iPhone you add a Shortcuts automation that forwards bank texts only. Each text then becomes a transaction with the amount, merchant and account.

Does it read my personal messages?

No. MoneyLoop ignores any message that isn't a financial transaction from a bank, wallet or InstaPay, and verification-code texts are blocked on your phone, so they never reach our servers.

Do I need to give my bank password?

Never. We don't connect to your bank account or ask for any login details.

Which banks and wallets are supported?

MoneyLoop supports every bank and mobile wallet.

Does it log InstaPay transfers?

Yes, both incoming and outgoing, and you can link a transfer to a person, a debt or a split bill.

How do I track my installments?

Add the installment, its amount and the number of payments, and MoneyLoop reminds you before each one and shows what's left.

What is Shark?

An AI money agent inside the app that answers questions about your money and draws the result, and never acts without your approval.

Can I import my old data?

Yes, from Excel, CSV files and bank statements.

Can I use MoneyLoop on more than one device?

Yes. Sign in with the same account and your data syncs.

How do I delete my account?

From Settings in the app. Your account and data are deleted.
